Shipping Policy

At Stainless Supply we work hard to insure your metal products arrive safely and efficiently.


We ship small orders via UPS or FedEx Ground.
Large items ship via freight line.


Item size is determined by several factors, including weight, size of the package and the number of packages needed to ship. If any of the above factors are more than allowable by UPS and FedEx, the order will need to ship via freight line (tractor trailer).

Lead Times and Optional Expedited Shipping Policy


Most stock and cut to size orders typically ship within 1-2 business days. "Fabricated" and "Laser Cut" items will take longer.

If expedited shipping is selected in your shopping cart (there is an additional fee):
  • stock and cut to size items, should ship the next business day
  • fabricated and laser cut items, should ship the next business day

If your order is extremely time sensitive, please call us at 877-484-0088 to discuss your deadline. We will do all that we can to meet your needs.

Freight Line (tractor trailer)


Orders that cannot be shipped via UPS or FedEx must ship on a pallet. We have minimum rates for different states around the country. These minimum rates hold until the order reaches 400 pounds. At that point, the rate calculator will adjust the increase in shipping fees based on actual rates from shipping companies.

Inspect Your Delivery!


Accidents happen! It is important that you inspect your delivery.

UPS/FedEx Ground Deliveries


If there is damage, refuse the delivery. If the driver leaves package without a signature, call Stainless Supply for assistance.

Freight Line Deliveries


If there is damage, note the damage on the delivery ticket or refuse the delivery if you cannot use it in the delivered shape. Once the freight bill is signed as received in good condition, we are not able to assist with a freight claim as the freight company will not honor any claims. You can always call us while the driver is still there and we can assist you.

Please note that for residential freight deliveries the driver will bring the pallet to the back of the truck, but you are responsible for getting the product off the truck (unless you selected lift-gate service). On most occasions, the pallet and crating typically weigh more than the actual product. So, you may have the option of unscrewing the top or side of the crate and removing the product from the crate while it is still on the truck.

Shipping Related To Cabinetry


When your order is ready to ship, you will receive a pre-shipment email that you must read and acknowledge before your order will be released. The email will include photos of your product in the condition that they will leave our facility. If your order is damaged and you do not follow the provided instruction, you may not be able to file a freight claim. Final payment is due prior to shipment. If payment is not made per terms, your job may be canceled at the discretion of JW Metals and the deposit monies will be forfeited.

Storage – JW Metal Products will not hold your order after production. You will have 5 days after the shipment notification is sent to acknowledge and release order. After 5 days you will be charged storage at a rate of $25/day/piece until the shipment has left the facility. This payment is due before order will be released.

Change Orders After Signoff – It is important to ensure all of the original measurements, layouts and designs are correct before signing off. If a change is required after production signoff, the changes will be at the expense of the customer, to include design fees, shipping and part cost. In the event a JW Metal Products representative made the error, then the correction will be at the expense of JW Metal Products.

All Sales are Final – JW Metal Products will not reimburse any customer for unforeseen circumstances, change of heart, or lack of proper diligence prior to purchase. All sales are final. In the event a job is canceled after a deposit is made, then the customer will forfeit the deposit.
