Copper Sheet |
|
1/4 Hard Copper sheet is pure copper that is slightly less malleable but much stronger than soft temper copper. This is very commonly used in roofing, trim, gutters, flashing, wiring, chimney caps, and ornamental work. The metal itself is very corrosion resistant but will develop a patina on the outer surface if it is exposed to outdoor elements, which will act as a barrier to the metal directly beneath it. This patina can occur naturally or be induced by chemicals, and can range in many different colors, with brown being the most common. It is very easy to bend and form, and can be soldered with ease. |

Copper Expanded Metal |
|
Copper expanded metal comes from 0.050" thick copper sheet that is expanded. We stock copper expanded metal in 300 to 500 foot coils. Copper expanded metal is thin enough to be rolled by hand and pieces measuring over 4' in length will typically be rolled up for shipping purposes.
With our copper expanded metal the long way of the diamond runs along the width. We can typically cut pieces that are 10' or shorter to size along the width, but you will need to call a sales representative at 877-484-0088 to discuss that option. The copper expanded metal openings measure as follows: 3/4" Mesh Short way of diamond opening = ~ 3/4" Long of diamond opening = ~ 1 3/4" 5/8" Mesh Short way of diamond opening = ~ 1/2" Long of diamond opening = ~1 1/8" Copper expanded metal is typically used for chimney caps, animal guards, and other projects that are decorative, where conductivity is needed, or that requires a long lasting, anti-corrosive metal. Copper expanded metal would not be recommended for uses in grills, trailers, catwalks etc. since it isn't strong enough for those applications. Copper expanded metal is very corrosion resistant but will develop a patina on the outer surface if it is exposed to outdoor elements, which will act as a barrier to the metal directly beneath it. The patina on copper expanded metal can occur naturally or be induced by chemicals, and can range in many different colors, with brown being the most common. Copper expanded metal is very easy to bend and solder. |

Trim Molding - Copper |
|
These trim moldings are made from the same 16 ounce copper that we sell in sheet form. They are used to attach sheets as wall coverings and backsplashes, along with providing aesthetic covering for seams between sheets and around corners. Our trim moldings have deep pockets to allow for variance in the existing wall and also have extra wide nailing strips to make installation more convenient.

Choose from six types of copper diamond quilt patterns. With the availability of square or elongated diamonds and from small to large, we have the diversity to fit your project. As with our other embossed designs, we make these based on a 4" x 4" up to 24" x 24" repeating patterns. This material is commonly used for architectural applications such as kitchen backsplashes and wall coverings. When using full sheets and using our trim molding to connect the sheets, our modular design will allow the patterns on connecting sheets to line up perfectly. CPD3 - The smaller-size choice of the square diamonds, these diamonds measure 3" from point to point. CPD4 - An improvement to the common quilted pattern, our design is based on a 2.82" side to side dimension instead of the common 3". This causes the point to point dimension to be an even 4", allowing the diamonds to be full on all edges of a full 4' x 10' or 4' x 8' sheet. The common 3" design will not line up on full sheets and not give a seamless transition to full sheets installed next to each other. CPD6 - The mid-size choice of the square diamonds, these diamonds measure 6" from point to point. CPD12 - The larger choice of the square diamonds at 12" x 12" from point to point. CPDT63 - For a tighter pattern, these elongated diamonds measure 3" x 6" from point to point. CPDT84 - The taller choice of the elongated diamonds, these measure 4" x 8" from point to point.Note: Embossed Diamond textured finish comes with a removable protective film. |

This material is commonly used for architectural applications such as kitchen backsplashes and wall coverings. When using full sheets and using our trim molding to connect the sheets, our modular design will allow the patterns on connecting sheets to line up perfectly. CPBW1 - This copper basket weave based on a brick patio design uses 3" x 6" rectangles that repeat nicely on a 12" square. CPBW2 - A variation of the brick patio basket weave, the offset pattern creates a more intricate look while still using the 3" x 6" rectangles. CPBW3 - This classic basket weave pattern has a deceptively simple pattern that creates the full appearance of an intricate basket weave. Using 4" x 8" rectangles, this pattern can still be repeated on a 12" square.Note: Basket Weave textured finish comes with a removable protective film. |
